Diane's been Master Director for 20 of the 40 years she's been with Shoreline Sound. She literally grew up with the barbershop sound. Her father, Nick, was a long-time-barber-shopper, got her started at age five. In 1978, she, along with her mother Catherine and sister Claudia, became charter members in a little chorus that was to go on to become the acclaimed East Pointe Show Chorus, since renamed Shoreline Sound Chorus. She has received accolades for her work with chorus and quartets with individual Private Vocal Instructions.
Shoreline Sound Show Chorus is extremely proud to have Diane as its director. She has come full circle, from a novice teenager, to our esteemed leader. We hope to have her in front of the risers for many years to come.
Diane has sung lead in International-level quartet, Top Priority. (Placing second on the International stage--no small feat!) Her vast knowledge of musical production brings Shoreline Sound Show Chorus Competition medals. She's in great demand as a coach, and willingly shares her expertise with Sweet Adeline and The Barbershop Harmony Society quartets and choruses.
She is Director of Recruiting for Midwest Memorial Group in her real-life work. Among her many interests, she enjoys golfing, camping and skiing most. Her dog, Maggie May is an important part of her life.
